Sometimes, people ask me why I train so hard. Why I push my athletes so much. Why I expect my patients to work hard during rehab. Because I expect results and results don’t come easy. If it was easy; the clinic would empty, everyone would squat and deadlift more than 2.5x their bodyweight and I’d be out of work. On the other hand, it’s hard. People get hurt, people need to train more often and people need to train harder. I’m shorter than average and growing up, many people tried to dissuade me from a life in sports and athletics. I simply trained harder. Make an ambitious but realistic plan. Stick to it and see how far it will take you.
